“I grew up watching my father perform countless times before joining him on stage. I soon realized why my father dedicated so much of his time to hosting parties and performing. I learned of the power of music. He created so many happy memories in those moments, and instilled hope that better days would come for those who had faced horrific atrocities such as my family did during the Khmer Rouge genocide. This album is a tribute to all the people that have been displaced and have struggled simply to survive.” – Bochan
